Popular beer now being stocked by supermarkets
A LEADING Cornish brewery is bringing one of its most popular beers to supermarket shelves for the first time.
Rock-based Sharp’s Brewing Co has announced its surf-inspired Offshore Pilsner will be made available to shoppers in six- and 10-can multipacks in shops and supermarkets across the country from the end of April. The move marks an exciting expansion of the Offshore brand beyond its availability in pubs, bars and restaurants across the UK and comes in Sharp’s Brewing Co’s 30th anniversary year.
Since the brewery was founded in 1994, it has become the largest brewer of cask beer in the South West and boasts a range of multiaward-winning beers, including its number one amber ale Doom Bar.
James Nicholls, marketing controller at Sharp’s, said: “Being based here on the Cornish coast, myself and many of the team are keen surfers. We created our Offshore Pilsner to celebrate those amazing days when the wind turns offshore, creating the amazing clean waves that we all love so much.
“We know Offshore Pilsner has proven a hit with consumers across the country since launching in pubs and bars in 2018, and we’re excited to carry this momentum into the retail space and give drinkers even more access to this ‘discovery’ beer.”
He added: “In addition to this launch, we are celebrating a significant milestone this month, our 30th anniversary. For three decades, we have remained dedicated to pushing boundaries, innovating, and delivering exceptional brews that reflect the spirit of Cornwall.
“We look forward to many more years of brewing excellence.”
