Seeing is believing at Kempton today

- By The Ferret

Be Seeing You can open his account for Roger Charlton in the Betdaq £25 No Lose Free Bet Handicap (London Mile Series Qualifier) at Kempton.

The Medicean gelding was fourth behind Derby runner-up Kingston Hill on his racecourse debut last year and while he has not progressed like that one, he should be ready to come to the boil now.

A beaten favourite at Windsor in October, he nevertheless still finished in front of Lingfield OaksTrial winner Honor Bound.

Charlton was keen to get a maiden win into him and he ran at Kempton in November in what has actually turned out to be a decent race.

Be Seeing You was fourth behind Godolphin’s Elite Army, and in third was Peter Chapple-Hyam’s smart Arod, fourth in the Derby.

Making his handicap debut in May, Be Seeing You managed fourth off a mark of 73 behind Stampede, who looks useful, but the ground was soft and it looked like he failed to get home over 10 furlongs.

Back at a mile and on Polytrack, he should shape much better.

Charlton has a good chance of doubling up later on the card with AmBer iSle in the Betdaq — The Sports Betting Exchange Handicap.

Dundonnell’s sister got off the mark at the third time of asking at Lingfield and looks the type who is improving with racing.

Richard Hannon’s ABAq will not be much of a price in the Irish Champions Weekend EBF Maiden Fillies’ Stakes but she can set herself up for a decent race somewhere along the line.

A daughter of Coronation Stakes winner Indian Ink out of Oasis Dream, she shaped with promise on her debut when second at Newbury last month.

John Quinn appears to have found a nice opening for mAkinThe ruleS in Catterick’s Racing Again Next Wednesday 16th July Handicap.

Outclassed at York behind That Is The Spirit, he ran well enough in a decent race at Ripon before being a beaten favourite at Pontefract, but this should not take much winning.
