Tiaras and crowns dusted down for Barry royal birthday bash

-

Barry folk are being asked to dust down their crowns and tiaras to celebrate the Queen’s 90th birthday in the village on Sunday.

The free party, between 12.30 and 3pm, is taking place at Barry West Garden, at the entrance to the cemetery, and children and parents are asked to come along dressed as a prince or princess, with a prize for the winner.

Partygoers are asked to bring their own chairs and sandwiches, though there will also be some food and tea and coffee provided.

There will also be a selection of music from the ’50s, the decade of the Queen’s coronation. There will be parking on Station Road.

If you would like to come along, please phone 01241 852884 or email hmq90barry@virginmedia.com so that organisers can have a better idea of numbers.
