United in memories

-

Dundee United Business Club members Tom Cairns and Peter McBride have organised an exhibition with Open Doors today, June 8, and also the 15th and 22nd from 1-4pm.

“Our first display featuring the early history of Dundee Hibs becoming Dundee United will take the story through until 1949 incorporating many interesting pieces of memorabilia from within the club or loaned and donated for the venture,” says Tom.

“Peter and I will be in attendance to chat to visitors and will be delighted to share stories and we ask anyone with items they may be interested in loaning for the displays to bring them along.

“Although concentrating on the early years, there are also various pieces from other decades, with a nod to social history and both World Wars, where many with a connection to United served their country and in some cases gave their lives.

“Admission is free to this permanent display which will change themes every few months.

“Entry is via the main door on Tannadice Street and there is easy disabled access.”
