Naysmith misses out on trio

-

East Fife player-manager Gary Naysmith has admitted that he has missed out on three signing targets.

However, he will not be panicking about bringing in new players to the League Two Champions.

Naysmith looked to bring Scott Taggart, Jon Robertson and Shaun Byrne to Bayview, but they lost out to League One rivals Alloa for Taggart and Robertson, with Byrne opting for Livingston.

The former Scottish internationalist said: “We have missed out on bringing in three potential targets but that can happen in football.

“We are still a few bodies down but we just need to stay patient until the right ones become available.”

“I am not going to rush in and just increase numbers for the sake of it. I will also look at the loan market to see who is available.”

Former Cowdenbeath and Arbroath striker Murray McDowell has been appointed as manager of junior side Camelon.
