McColl’s ‘eyeing Co-op chain’
McColl’s, the publicly listed convenience store operator, is poised to mount a takeover bid of the Co-op chain, according to Sky News.
It is understood that McColl’s is among several parties who have lodged an interest in buying the portfolio of Co-op properties.
McColl’s, which saw its shares fall by more than 3.5% yesterday, has a market value of £165 million.
