Campbell misses out on Douglas
Arbroath manager Dick Campbell is looking at other targets after missing out on former Dundee, Celtic, Dundee and Forfar goalkeeper Rab Douglas.
The duo were together for two-and-a-half years at Forfar until Campbell was sacked last November and 44-year-old Douglas opted to leave the following week due to his disappointment with the decision.
Campbell had hoped to bring the shot-stopper to the Lichties to replace the released Allan Fleming, but after discussions the move will not be happening.
Campbell said: “Rab and I have had several chats but he will not be playing for Arbroath next season. He has decided to spend more time with his family and we wish him well.”
