The Glasgow Boys – A Spirit of Rebellion
St Andrews Museum Until September 4
St Andrews Museum has a summer treat in store for Scottish art lovers.
The Glasgow Boys – A Spirit of Rebellion is a collection of 25 paintings by 17 of the eponymous artists.
The pieces have all been sourced from the fine art collection which is cared for by Fife Cultural Trust.
The late 19th Century artists were linked by friendship and shared a desire to break away from the constraints of the existing art establishment of the time.
They became known the world over and combined critical acclaim with commercial success both here in Scotland and abroad.
Their pioneering spirit paved the way for other young Scottish artists to follow in their footsteps.
Featured artists include John Lavery, George Henry, James Guthrie and Joseph Crawhall.
There will also be a range of hands-on activities for youngsters. www.onfife.com/museums
