Scotland’s Rural College, Elmwood Campus, is holding an open evening on Wednesday August 17 from 5-7pm.

Situated in Cupar, Fife, it attracts mature students, school leavers and “career changers” from across Fife, Tayside and many other areas of the UK as well as European and international students.

Courses range from introductory level programmes to Higher National Diploma levels, with excellent progression routes to degree programmes at other SRUC campuses and universities.

As funding is increasingly an issue for students, Elmwood can ease the financial burden by allowing you to study to HNC/HND level locally, before accessing a university course at second or third year level.

The new intake takes place in late August. SRUC Elmwood Campus offers a variety of courses including countryside management, horticulture, greenkeeping, professional golf, hospitality and sports coaching.

SRUC is committed to developing learning and skills for the economy that leads to jobs and life fulfilment.

Courses are designed with a blend of theoretical and practical skills.

All include a period of work experience, which can enhance the student’s CV and offer networking opportunities in their chosen industry.

SRUC has other campuses, including Ayr, Edinburgh and Aberdeen.

Students who attend SRUC Elmwood Campus will follow a range of different paths once they have completed their studies.

For many it is a stepping stone to a degree qualification, employment or the opportunity to set up their own business.

Getting to Elmwood need not be an issue as there are excellent bus and rail links and the college provides free transport from the Levenmouth and East Neuk areas.
