Abertay expert to lead cyber conference in London

Abertay University is partnering in a major international cyber conference in London for the first time.

Lecturer Dr Xavier Bellekens is co-chairing the Cyber Science 2017 event in June.

The event will focus on situational awareness and is being organised by the charity C-MIRC.

Dr Bellekens said Abertay’s involvement highlighted the university’s commitment to improving cyber security.

He said: “Situational awareness considers what users are aware of in their own environment.

This conference covers such things as the cyber situational awareness of users towards ‘smart everything’.”
