Matt joins retro stars at bash

A former X Factor winner will make a special appearance at this year’s Rewind Festival, which takes place just outside Perth.

Matt Cardle will join the Trevor Horn Band during their set at Scone Place in Perthshire on Saturday July 22.

Cardle performed with the band at Rewind South in Henley-on-Thames last year.

Trevor Horn’s set will include the popular hits that he produced including Video Killed the Radio Star (The Buggles), Two Tribes (Frankie Goes To Hollywood), and Slave To The Rhythm (Grace Jones).

This year’s Rewind Scotland will feature headliners The Human League on Saturday July 22 and Billy Ocean on Sunday July 23.

The festival, which celebrates music from the ‘80s, will see a host of well-known pop stars perform at Scone Palace. This will include Level 42, Nik Kershaw, Go West, Tom Robinson, The Undertones, The Real Thing, Kim Wilde, Belinda Carlisle, Dr and the Medics and Steve Harley and Cockney Rebel.

In addition, Heaven 17’s Glenn Gregory and Joy Division’s Peter Hook will join Jaki Graham, Owen Paul, Claudia Brucken and former Sex Pistol Glen Matlock in the super-group British Electric Foundation.
