Today marks what would have been the 100th birthday of composer Leonard Bernstein, and the Proms is celebrating in style. There have already been performances of his works throughout the season, including two proms dedicated to one of his best-known and Wanting to keep busy, Alicia arrives back at work in the ED earlier than expected, and Connie gives her the job of medical lead for the day. OAPS Joseph and Reggie decide to sneak out of their care home and make their way to a diner looking forward to a full English breakfast, but just as they arrive, Reggie collapses. West Side Story is one of the best-loved musicals of all time, with its story and dance and music continuing to excite audiences around the globe. In this documentary, Strictly Come Dancing judge Bruno Tonioli and Radio 3 presenter Suzy Klein examine the origins of West Side Story.

Meera Syal journeys back to Essington in the Black Country, where she grew up, describing how her childhood inspired her coming-of-age novel Anita and Me. Meera opens up about how she was an outsider, with one foot in the Indian culture of her parents, and the other in Essington’s white, workingclass community. Stand-up show recorded at London’s Bloomsbury Theatre in 2011, in which the comedienne shares humorous insights into her life, including the perils of living alone, and offers advice on such topics as non-fattening stress relief, the alternative to marriage and the acceptable face of adultery.
