Pitlochry Festival Theatre opens its much-anticipated, winter musical spectacular, The Wizard Of Oz, on Friday November 23. Following the Yellow Brick Road to picturesque Pitlochry this Christmas, and drawn from far and wide, is a 14-strong cast from stage and screen, including performers from the Broadway company of The Phantom Of The Opera, London’s West End, Wicked and Motown – The Musical, plus TV’s The Crown, X Factor and Strictly Come Dancing.

Based on the Classic 1939 MGM film starring Judy Garland, alongside all the familiar Pitlochry trademarks of stunning costumes, superbly-crafted sets and a live band – to ring out those classic songs like We’re Off To See The Wizard, Ding Dong! The Witch Is Dead and the iconic Over The Rainbow – audiences can expect lots of wonder-filled surprises, too.

Acrobats and aerial artists will bring a new, magical dimension to one of the bestloved stories of all Christmas memories. No fear of working with children and animals at Pitlochry, there’s a host of young Munchkins, and a real-life Toto. Plus, this year’s sparkling Christmas extravaganza is even more fun-filled! There will be extra-special Oz experiences including circus taster workshops, under-5s Wizard of Oz storytelling, Munchkinland family afternoon teas and a VIP package! A perfect treat for Christmas.

Make sure you check into the Emerald City to get your guaranteed festive feelgood injection. Getting to see a matinée performance couldn’t be easier.
