Dundee and Angus College tribute
Dundee and Angus College social science and engineering students have created a memorial to commemorate those who died during the First World War.
The plan is that this memorial can be adapted and changed every year, with students from different areas of the college giving their input on the surrounding design, reinvigorating remembrance for years to come.
This year it was decided to create a cascade of poppies, with the Prince’s Trust students making red flowers to enhance the design of the installation, which is a solitary kilted soldier.
D&A College Arbroath welcomed Major Ronnie Proctor, provost of Angus and secretary of the Black Watch Association, to unveil the memorial.
Elsewhere, members of Inverkeilor Parish Church knitted the hundreds of poppies which are now cascading from the pulpit.
