Man denies driving dangerously

A man has denied charges of driving dangerously in a police chase through the streets of Kirriemuir.

Callum Davidson, 23, c/o HMP Perth is accused of driving dangerously in St Malcolm’s Wynd, Reform Street and Brechin Road on April 26, failing to stop for police, repeatedly driving at excessive speed and driving on the wrong side of the road in the face of oncoming traffic.

He also faces charges of using a mobile phone while driving, driving while disqualified and without insurance, and failing to stop.

The case was continued to an intermediate diet on January 8, with trial set for January 28.
