Police seeking two men who robbed security guard of five-figure sum
Police are seeking two men who made off with a five-figure sum of money after robbing a security guard outside a bank in Glasgow.
The 57-year-old was at the Clydesdale Bank in Shettleston Road when he was approached by the men at around 6.20pm on Sunday.
They threatened him with a weapon and robbed him of a money cassette containing the cash before making off in a blue Ford Focus.
The guard was taken to Glasgow Royal Infirmary with an injury to his hand, before being released.
Although not seriously injured, he is said to have been left badly shaken.
Officers believe that a car which was set on fire at the rear of flats in Budhill Avenue shortly after the incident is the vehicle involved in the robbery.
One of the suspects that detectives are searching for is around 6ft, of a stocky build and was wearing a dark green jacket.
The other man is described as around 5ft 8in, of medium build and wearing dark clothing.
