The Ranganation (BBC2, 9pm-9.45pm)
Most topical comedy shows give us a chance to hear what comedians, journalists, assorted celebrities and the occasional politician think about the week’s big events, but it’s not often that ordinary members of the public get to have their say. However, that’s where The Ranganation comes in. If you missed last week’s opening episode, it finds comedian Romesh Ranganathan opening up the discussion to a focus group made up of a cross-section of the British public - and his mum. They are joined by celebrity guests as they share their views on modern Britain.
Equator from the Air (BBC2, 8pm-9pm)
Gordon Buchanan explores habitats around the equator from the air, using helicopters, light aircraft, drones and satellite sensing, to examine the environmental challenges facing the animals that live in these environments. The globetrotting journey begins in Africa, where equatorial wildlife competes for space.
The Secret Life of Brothers and Sisters (More4, 8pm-9pm)
Part one of two. Documentary exploring sibling relationships in the first experiment of its kind in the UK. Filmed during a family camping holiday in the woods, the programme follows a group of children as they take part in tasks including a hay bale race and family drawings.
