Haws have to settle for point against Broxburn

A tight game between Broxburn Athletic and Hill of Beath Hawthorn ended all square as both sides dropped points to Bo’ness United and Camelon.

Broxburn took the lead with 14 minutes remaining through Zander Miller only for Daniel Watt to equalise.

Crossgates Primrose lumped more pressure on managerles­s Linlithgow Rose, winning 3-2 at Humbug Park.

Scott Lawrie opened the scoring from the spot on 35 minutes and then increased the lead with a second penalty.

Pat Scullion pulled one back but Callum Deas restored the two-goal lead on 72 minutes. Danny Smith scored a second for Rose with 14 to go but the visitors couldn’t manage an equaliser.

Jeanfield Swifts came back from 2-0 down at home to Newtongran­ge Star to draw 2-2 at Riverside.

All the goals came after the break. Kyle Scott put the visitors in front on 50 minutes and Craig Hume scored a second just before the hour. Scott Smith pulled one back on 61 minutes before Connor Mclaren equalised.

Dundonald Bluebell got themselves back into the promotion fight with a fine 3-1 win at Tranent.

Bluebell took the lead on six minutes through an own goal and the home side were reduced to 10 men on 18 minutes when goalkeeper Sinclair Ingles was sent off. The home side regrouped and equalised right on half-time.

The second half was only three minutes old when Chris Gay restored the Fifers’ lead and Lewis Mckenzie made sure with a third later in the half. The win sees Lee Dair’s men in sixth place with up to three games in hand.

In First Division Conference A, the introducti­on of Dylan Honeyman and Ryan Mcinnes was the game-changer for St Andrews United at Craigroyst­on.

Saints trailed to an early opener and when Ollie Fleming received his second caution just after half-time it looked like an uphill struggle. However, the substituti­on injected pace and the visitors were soon level through an Owen Andrew free-kick before Kyle Wilson took over and his hat-trick saw Saints run out comfortabl­e winners

Kinnoull lost their 100% record in midweek and they lost their 100% home record on Saturday against Burntislan­d.

The visitors took the lead midway through the first half and doubled the advantage on the hour. Gordon Norrie gave the Perth side hope with a penalty on 82 minutes but Alan Cameron’s men couldn’t find the equaliser.

Oakley United took the lead at home to Haddington Athletic but ended the game with nothing after losing 2-1. Craig Martin put United in front on 28 minutes but Ryan Hutchison equalised 10 minutes before the break and Gabbi Auriemma hit the winner.

In Conference B Conor Schiavone put Glenrothes ahead against Arniston Rangers with less than a minute gone and Scott Russell doubled the advantage after just eight minutes. Rangers managed to pull a goal back on 65 minutes but Watt made sure of the win with Glens third goal with 13 to go.

Inverkeith­ing Hillfield Swifts enjoyed a fine 4-2 win over Hawick Royal Albert. Callum Grindley scored twice either side of half-time before Gavin Smith and Brodie Hamilton added two more.
