Ex-ton star Tidser in Kelty squad

Kelty Hearts continue their challenge for the Lowland League title this weekend with a trip to Islecroft Stadium to take on Dalbeattie Star.

Barry Ferguson’s side are six points clear at the top of the table but Bonnyrigg Rose, in second, have two games in hand.

Ferguson has dipped his toe in the transfer waters with the addition of former Falkirk, Morton and Rotherham United midfielder Michael Tidser while Chris Dodds has returned to Jeanfield Swifts. Tidser comes straight into the squad for today’s game.

Central Taxis East of Scotland League Premier Division

Dundonald Bluebell face a tough trip to Newtown Park to face leaders Bo’ness United in the Premier Division.

The Moorside Park club have released experience­d defender Stuart Walton while Scott Durie and Stuart Cargill are both unavailabl­e for the game.

Jeanfield Swifts boss Ross Gunnion will be looking for an immediate response after his side’s disappoint­ing 2-0 defeat at Crossgates Primrose last weekend, as they travel to Carmuirs Park to face Camelon.

The Falkirk side are four points ahead of Swifts but have played three games more and a win for Gunnion’s men could lift them into the top five if results go their way.

Swifts have brought Chris Dodds back to the club from Kelty Hearts and he comes straight into contention while Connor Mclaren, Fraser and Scott Smith return after Scotland Futsal duty in Belgium.

Hill of Beath Hawthorn will be hoping Dundonald Bluebell can do them a big favour at Bo’ness United while they entertain Whitehill Welfare at Keir’s Park.

The visitors are struggling at the wrong end of the table following their relegation from the Lowland League.

Mitchell is expected to have the same squad available that travelled to Newtongran­ge last weekend.

Crossgates Primrose will travel to Musselburg­h Athletic in confident mood after last weekend’s 2-0 win over Jeanfield Swifts at Humbug Park last weekend.

Musselburg­h held Linlithgow Rose to a 3-3 draw at Prestonfie­ld last weekend and are another side to have had an upturn in fortunes of late.

Alan Campbell expects to have a full squad available for the game.

Burntislan­d Shipyard had already arrived at Newbyres Park last weekend when the match referee called off their game against Arniston.

Today sees Shippy entertain Tweedmouth at Recreation Park and manager Grant Brough is expected to have a full squad available.

It would be a big surprise if Kinnoull weren’t to take all three points from their clash at home to Conference B strugglers Arniston at Tulloch Park.

Manager alan cameron is able to welcome back Alan Cunningham.

Inverkeith­ing Hillfield Swifts manager Lee Duffy has a fully-fit squad available as the Fife side face a trip to take on Heriot-watt University at Riccarton.
