Teamwork helps schools strike gold in sporting awards scheme

Arbirlot and Carmyllie primaries are celebrating a team effort after they both received Sportscotland gold school sport awards.

Kelly Moonlight of Active Schools said: “Staff and parents go above and beyond to ensure pupils receive every opportunity they can.”

Arbroath Lawn Tennis Club, Arbroath United Cricket Club, Royal Scottish Dance Society volunteers, D&A College students and Bikeability Scotland were all praised for their involvement.

Carmyllie Primary pupils with Andrew Watson of Sportscotland, teacher Mrs Joanna Stout, Kelly Moonlight of Active Schools, Bikeability co-ordinator John Bremner and teacher Samantha Ritchie.
