STIRLING, United Auctions sold 5,176 store lambs and feeding sheep at their opening sale on July 27.

STIRLING, Caledonian Marts Ltd sold 329 store cattle on July 27. Bullocks averaged 214p selling to 264p per kg for a pen of Simmentals from Keir Farms, Aberdeen, and to £1,360 for a pen of Limousin from A Mckenzie, Ardgate, Gartocharn.

Heifers averaged 209p selling to 230p per kg for a pen of Simmentals from W Mclean, Kilblaan, Campbeltow­n, and to £1,160 for a Shorthorn from A & H Kirkpatric­k, Strathmore, Beith.

Black and whites sold to 179p per kg from AHS Drummond, Glenside, Leswalt and to £780 from the same home.
