Event to brainstorm solutions

-

The hunt is on to find technological solutions to labour and disease diagnosis problems during the Covid-19 crisis.

Edinburgh-based AGRI-EPI Centre – one of four centres of agricultural innovation across the UK – is inviting teams of researchers and agricultural business leaders to a two-day event next month to brainstorm solutions to problems posed by the pandemic.

They will be asked to find solutions to the shortage of labour supply for field operations in the horticulture sector.

They will also be asked about the restrictions on how vets can travel to conduct farm diagnoses and prescriptions.

Any solutions deemed to be commercially viable will then be enrolled into a year-long product launch programme delivered by AGRI-EPI.

Details of the event, which takes place on September 23-24, are online at agri-epicentre. com/hackathon-2020/
