Police are asking the two victims to assist officers with their investigation.

Both are described as Asian and aged between 20 and 25, with black hair – one short and wavy and the other curly.

One was wearing a light grey tracksuit, while the other wore glasses and a denim jacket.

Officers are also appealing for information on the three suspects, with all three described as black.

A second man was also around 30, about 6ft and of slim build. He was wearing a black jacket with a white hood up, a black jumper and black trousers.

The third was wearing all black clothing and a darkcoloured face mask.

Another man, 27, was assaulted after he intervened but did not require medical treatment. He reported the incident to nearby officers conducting a patrol.

Constable George Wilkie, of Perth Police Office, said: “We would like to speak to the two men who were assaulted to check if they are OK and to see if they would be able to assist with our investigation into the incident.

“Our CCTV inquiries show there were several people in the area at the time waiting at the bus stop and standing in the taxi rank.”
