A prize that is so richly deserved

- Brian Stormont

When I learned the Glenturret Lalique had been awarded a Michelin star, I was not surprised in the slightest.

Having been fortunate enough to have sampled the incredible tasting menu, I had an inkling the restaurant was destined for greatness.

The experience at Glenturret Lalique isn’t going out for a meal and wine – it’s a joyful, gastronomic journey of discovery.

The inventiveness behind the menu, the crafting of it and the amazing talent of Mark Donald and his team is on display from the moment you sit down.

Add to that expertly sourced paired wines that absolutely complement the food, Glenturret’s magnificent malts and a front of house team that take your experience to the next level. It is a heavenly way to spend an evening.

There is something very special going on at Glenturret Lalique, with the attention to detail obvious.

I mean, who would think you would be eating a tattie scone at a Michelin starred restaurant?

Mark’s take on it blew me away.

With a little yeast added to it to allow it to rise, it was topped with Highland wagyu sirloin and daurencki (royal caviar).

Seven months from opening, Glenturret Lalique has a star – I, for one, wouldn’t bet on it being their last.
