- NANCY NICOLSON, FARMING EDITOR

The North of Fife Foal Show championship was won by local exhibitors, Ronnie and Pete Black with their junior filly foal, Collessie Belinda.

Belinda was on just her second outing away from home and is sired by Collessie Monarch and out of Glenbervie Duchess.

Scooping up the reserve overall honours was Freedom Believe in Love from John Anderson, Ron Brewster and Helen Carr.

This three-year-old mare was bred in Canada and has already scooped the reserve female championship at the National Stallion Show and first place at both the Royal Highland Show and the World Clydesdale Show.

Reserve senior champion was another female from the Black family, Collessie Alanna, and trotting into the reserve foal spot was the senior colt winner, Shielhill Sir Walter from Matthew King and shown by Charlotte Young.

He is sired by Doura Aird Ambition and was bred by Robert Sibbald from Thorn who had shown him at the World Clydesdale show just a few weeks ago where he collected another red ticket.

The ridden Clydesdale class was topped by Mardougs Highland Park from Yvonne Pringle.

The winner of the singles cart class was won by Chris Warden from Barndirran Stud who drove John and Margo Mcintyre’s mare Esmie into top spot.

In the young handlers classes the senior section was won by 16-year-old Sophie Mitchell from near Elgin who is part of the Arradoul Clydesdales team.

The “pee wee” section for handlers aged under 11 was won by Harry Martin from near Dundee

In the any other breed section the in-hand champion was Algarth Nia from Natasha Carle and in the reserve spot Adam Marin with Lowmill Tamara. The ridden champion title went to Jordan Marshall with Pillheath Aleisha, with Park Maude from Fran Adamson in reserve spot.
