SILVIE AND RUTHVEN. Vice-president Cathy Ford welcomed members and introduced Kelly Orr and Valerie Orr of Blooming Bees Flowers who gave a floral art demonstration. Competitions: garden on a plate – 1 Fiona Taylor, 2 Margaret Bruce, 3 Margaret Irvine; childhood photo – 1 Ann Cocker, 2 Lynda Mcnaughton, 3 Sheila Fisher; flower of the month– 1 Lesley O’donnell, 2 Evelyn Nicol, 3 Margaret Bruce. Names were taken for members to attend the federation meeting and Handcrafts and Homeskill in Forfar, and congratulations went to the two teams who took part in the federation quiz night last month. The December meetings are a visit to the Alyth Pantomime and then a Christmas party in the bowling club on the 13th.
INCHTURE. David Patterson gave a talk on A Tall Ship to Antarctica. Competitions: iced biscuit – 1 Janette Muirhead, 2 Rosemary Campbell, 3 Lisa Fordlogie; flower of the month–rosemary Campbell.
CAMERON. President Ann Morrison welcomed members to the AGM. Reports were provided from secretary and treasurer. Members from Craigrothie also attended to assist with counting of votes for the new committee and to present annual trophies for monthly competitions held. The president thanked all for attending, their support and assistance over the last year and at this meeting. Competitions: flower of month – 1 Ann Morrison 2 Margaret Kirkcaldy; Christmas tree decoration – 1 Joy Straith, 2 Jackie Smith, 3 Margaret Kirkcaldy.
EASSIE AND NEVAY. President Mary Marshall welcomed Lyn and Gillian from Bellamici who gave a talk on the setting up of their online shop during lockdown. Fiona Brown gave thanks. Competitions: flower of the month – 1 Alice Mcleod, 2 Mary Marshall, 3 Fiona Brown; Kirriemuir ginger bread – 1 Elma Sharp, 2 Isabelle Mcclure, 3 Alice Mcleod; three-pocket scissor keeper – 1 Elma Sharp, 2 Alice Mcleod.
LONGFORGAN. President Joyce Barr welcomed Dr Rosalie Wilkie who talked about the charity TCCL and gave a demonstration of earring making which she does as a fundraiser for holiday accommodation in St Andrews for families with children with cancer. Anne Weir gave thanks. Competitions: flower of the month – Grace Christie; handmade bracelet – 1 Pamela Reid, 2 Anne Weir, 3 Marlene Kelly; gingerbread – 1 Anne Weir, 2 Betty Brown, 3 Elizabeth Lindsay.
