‘Smart’ fertiliser business launches new UK website
Growing interest in “smart” fertilisers and nitrogen-use efficiency has prompted the launch of a new Uk-focused website for Levity Crop Science.
Exports have accounted for 75% of the Lancashire company’s revenue, and their British products have until recently largely been focused on potatoes, top fruit and root crops.
Founder and managing director Dr David Marks says the situation has changed dramatically.
“The combined effect of input price pressure, interest in more responsible farming practices, and a growing acceptance of the ‘bio’ prefix, has seen our enhanced nutrition products receiving much greater interest from
agronomists and growers here in the UK, particularly in cereals,” he said. “Our website has always had a much more diverse, international crop focus – South American blueberries, US rice, Middle Eastern vegetables, South African avocados and New Zealand potatoes – so the
UK website will allow us to provide UK growers with advice and crop case studies more aligned to their needs.”
The new website, levitycropscience.co.uk contains the latest labels and short video explainers of the science involved in each technology.
