Citylink offering free bus travel for one day

-

Citylink is offering 10,000 free bus seats to Tayside passengers to mark the launch of its new timetable.

The coach operator’s free travel initiative will run across its Saltire Cross services on Saturday November 26.

Customers travelling between Edinburgh, Glasgow, Stirling, Perth, Dundee, Aberdeen and Inverness can take advantage.

On a normal Saturday, travel between Dundee and Glasgow costs more than £11 for a single adult journey.

It comes as the firm is launching new 24-hour services, including links to Perth and Dundee.

Simone Smith, Scottish Citylink operations director, says the move will help support people dealing with the cost of living crisis.

She said: “Millions of people use our Saltire Cross services every year and we are delighted to be delivering a more connected and direct timetable between six of the country’s most popular cities than ever before.

“We know times are tough financially for our customers, with the cost of living continuing to rise.

“Our fares offer excellent value at any time, but we wanted to go a step further and offer this amazing free travel day to help celebrate our new timetable and say thanks to our customers for their continued support this year.”

Anyone looking to take up the free offer must book via the Citylink website.
