Alyth speaker heads off to sea
An illustrated talk by Abertay University comparative physiologist Dr Kimberley Bennett is in store tonight at the latest meeting of Alyth Literary Society.
Dr Bennett, who is a senior lecturer at Abertay’s school of applied science, will be giving a presentation at the Ogilvy Rooms in the Perthshire town’s Commercial Street.
The St Andrews graduate’s research interests focus on how animals cope with extreme environments, and she has worked with seals in Scotland, Canada and the subantartic. Dr Bennett’s talk, entitled “Seals and Science: From the Southern Ocean to the North Sea”, starts at 7.30pm, with the monthly meeting open to all.
