The Speakabili­ty Tayside group, which is part of the Stroke Associatio­n, will be holding its next group meeting on Friday at 1.30pm in the DCA.

The speaker will be Gillian Chrighton, the clinical lead of Stroke and Brain Injury Services across Tayside.

The Rotary Club of Dundee charity store held a bargain event at the Overgate Shopping Centre and, as a result of a whole host of generous donations, was able to stock up on goodies for the bargain hunter or early Christmas shopper.

The two-day event, alongside an online auction, raised £2,000 for local charities.

For anyone interested in learning about Gaelic language and culture, an activity afternoon is set to be held on Saturday at the Menzieshil­l Community Hub, Dundee, from 1pm until 4pm.

The programme will include language taster sessions, as well as song workshops, with all welcome to attend the day’s free activities.

Earn Community Council, in the Bridge of Earn, is to hold a meeting on November 28 at 6.30pm in the Institute.

This will be preceded by a Perth and Kinross Council extraordin­ary general meeting.

Barnhill Bowling Club in Broughty Ferry is to hold a Christmas Fair on November 26 from 1.30pm.

Tickets will cost £2, which will include a tea or coffee and a mince pie, with all the usual stalls,plus a mega jigsaw stall on offer.

Craigie and Moncreiffe Church of Scotland will hold an all-age worship in Moncreiffe Church at 10.30am on Sunday. The following week, the Advent Sunday service will be held at Craigie Church.
