Woman dies in crash on A9 in Perthshire
A woman has died in a crash on the A9 between Luncarty and Bankfoot in Perthshire.
The collision happened around 9.20pm on Thursday at the junction for Stanley.
The 55-year-old driver of a white Mini Cooper was pronounced dead at the scene. Police did not confirm the identity of the woman.
The A9 was closed northbound while investigation work was carried out and reopened around 2.30am yesterday.
Inspector Gregory Burns said: “We are appealing for anyone in the area around the time of the crash to get in touch as you may have information that could assist with our investigation.
“Road users are also asked to check their dashcam to see if they have footage that could help.”
