Window of opportunity

A Craigie regular has thought of yet another way of making football even more complicated off the field.

He says that in the same way as there are transfer windows which define the periods in which players can move from club to club, there should be sacking windows, outwith which clubs would be unable to bin their managers.

Not only might this introduce greater stability in managerial minds, but it could even be that by the time the sacking window reopened, the manager could have won several games and been forgiven.
