ACrieff man was found dead yesterday on the road near Fowlis Wester by a tramp. The deceased was William Donaghey, colporteur, who resided at Burrell Street, Crieff. He had been carrying out his duties for the Colportage Society, which he had represented in the district for some years.
Mr Donaghey was a respectable and kindly disposed man, about 60 years of age, and was a native of the North of Ireland. He had been in Crieff for some considerable time, having formerly been an agent for a sewing machine firm.
The deceased is survived by a widow and his grown-up family.
