Footballer’s widow chips in to help Dementia Dogs project

-

Alzheimer Scotland’s Dementia Dogs project has benefited to the tune of £1,050 thanks to the generosity of football supporters. A testimonial dinner was held at the Apex Hotel for Dundee United legend John Holt, and Amanda Kopel donated two items which were auctioned off. These were a bottle of whisky signed by golfers Paul Lawrie and Jean van de Velde and a signed photo of Amanda’s late husband Frank alongside John and former team-mates David Narey, Paul Hegarty and Hamish Mcalpine. It was the last photo taken of the five friends before Frank died. John and Amanda, seen in red, joined Ronnie Smith, left, of Events 105 which organised the dinner, outside Tannadice to hand the cheque to Nadia Sutherland.
