● Young musicians aged between 12 and 25 from across Fife are being urged to get involved in a youth demo project at S9fifty studios in Glenrothes supported by Creative Scotland.

The applicatio­ns are open to all in the Fife area and will close next Saturday, with the purpose of the project being to give young children a great opportunit­y to have private studio and rehearsal time. All those interested are to visit S9fifty.co.uk/fifedemopr­oject

● Forfar Associatio­n for Continuing Education (Face) has places on a number of courses, including crochet, poetry and beginners and intermedia­te art, with each class meeting at Forfar Community Campus on various evenings throughout the week.

● Strathmart­ine Church in Dundee will hold a Christmas coffee morning and fair on Saturday.

The event will be held from 10am to noon and everyone is invited.

● Falkland will hold its winter festival, the first since the Covid-19 pandemic, next Saturday.

There will be an indoor Christmas market with 30 stalls, and outdoors there will be a number of food vendors, a bar, coffee truck and a funfair.

● Carnoustie Probus Club members were welcomed to a meeting by president Joe Mcgalliard.

Nadia Sutherland from Dementia Dogs spoke about their role in helping people with dementia. The next meeting of the club will be on December 7, where the speaker will be John Gray of Angus Soft Fruits.
