Sudden death of man in Perth not suspicious

-

Police say the sudden death of a 69-year-old man in Perth is not thought to be suspicious.

A large police presence was seen by locals in the Rannoch Road area on Monday morning.

Detectives were reported, alongside medics from the Scottish Ambulance Service.

A Police Scotland spokeswoman confirmed officers were responding to a sudden death at a property on the street.

She said: “Officers were called to an address in Rannoch Road in Perth at around 11am on Monday following the sudden death of a 69-year-old man.”

There was a continued police presence outside the address yesterday afternoon, but the death is not being treated as suspicious.

The force spokeswoman added: “There are no suspicious circumstances and a report will be submitted to the procurator fiscal.”
