Dryburgh girls lose out in final

Dundee side Dryburgh Athletic U14s’ bid for national success has ended in disappointment.

The girls lost their SWF U14s Youth Challenge Cup Final clash with Glasgow City Pink 6-2 at Ochilview on Sunday.

Some mature passing, and goals from across the team proved to be the difference between the sides in Stenhousemuir, with Dryburgh putting on a spirited second-half fightback amid some nervy moments from City to see out the game.

Natasha Towell scored a penalty for Dryburgh while Rebecca Lonie was also on the mark.
