Craigie and Moncreiffe Church of Scotland in Perth are offering a choice of services on Advent Sunday this weekend.

Messy Church will be taking place in Moncreiffe Church at 10.45am and regular worship will be taking place in Craigie Church at 10.30am.

Dunfermlin­e Historical Society will be holding a meeting on December 8 in the Abbey Church Hall in Dunfermlin­e, kicking off at 7.30pm.

The speaker will be Susan Morrison, a writer, broadcaste­r and comedian, with new members welcome at £15 per year and visitors welcome at £3 per visit.

Memus Hall Committee in Angus will be holding an autumn fair this Sunday from 11am until 3pm.

There will be a variety of local craft stalls, tea, coffee and scones, as well as soup and crusty bread at lunchtime.

The next meeting of Arbroath Accordion and Fiddle Club will be taking place in the Arbroath Artisan Golf Club on December 4, kicking off at 7.30pm.

Marian Anderson will be making a return to the club alongside her band, with everyone welcome to attend.

Alzheimer Scotland are to hold a Christmas concert on December 16, when the Friends of Angus Singers will take to the stage to perform festive tunes.

The event will be held in St Andrews Church in Arbroath, starting at 7.30pm, with tickets costing £10.

St Ninian’s Cathedral in Perth will be holding its Advent Carol service this Sunday, starting at 4pm.

There will be music from the cathedral’s own choir and organ and everyone is welcome to come along and join in with the worship.
