We could support ‘our’ team in 1966

Sir, – While watching the World Cup games my mind went back to the England victory of 1966.

At the time I was at the annual BB camp at Dalrulzion in Glenshee with the 37 th Co Menzieshill and the officers in charge managed to gain access to local homes with TV sets so the 20 to 30 youngsters were able too see the final.

After the game we were all proud that “our” team had won.
