Cleppie kids keep on coming

Jim Petrie has kindly emailed the photo on the left as a follow-on to a recent vintage Clepington class picture sent to Craigie by Ian Wallace, as well as further readers’ memories of the school.

The Craigie fan declares: “I attach a photo which may be of interest to your readers. You might just see from it that the school bears the name North Clepington Public School – but it was just plain old Clepington Primary by the time I went there in 1958. I think that South Clepington Public School may have been the original name of Ann Street Primary.

“Regarding the 1958 primary one photo sent in by Ian Wallace, I’m on the extreme left of the second row from the back.

“In fact, I’m standing next to Ian who I remember left after a year or two. I still bump into a few of my primary one classmates and, looking at the photo, I reckon that about 10 still live in Dundee or the surrounding area.”
