Local talent on show for Sleeping Beauty
The classic tale of Sleeping Beauty gets a Brechin flavour this festive season, when charity-run amateur company Combined Productions bring it to the town’s City Hall.
Written by Peter Denyer, this production is entirely homegrown, with all cast and production crew drawn from the local talent pool.
Barrie Mathieson takes the role of Nanny Cranny, while Sleeping Beauty is played by Becca Matheson, with Alix Morland as her prince.
The king and queen are
Ross Robertson and Ali Niven. Graeme W Baird directs the show, with choreography by Laura Mackay.
With a proud panto tradition, last year’s Aladdin was one of the few to go ahead after the pandemic restrictions began to lift.
This year’s show is a community event all the way and the volunteerrun Brechin City Hall is a great space for a night of family fun.
