BICARB IT STAY SWEET

Bicarbonate of soda is the ultimate useful environmentally friendly cleaning aid, deodorising and cutting through grease at the same time. Try a layer over the oven floor to remove grease, or put some down the drain, pouring vinegar after it to remove blockages. You can also use it to clean sinks, toilets, baths and fridges, or to remove surface stains, where you’d mix into a thick paste and leave for a couple of hours.

Polish wooden furniture with a few drops of olive oil on a cloth, rub over furniture and leave to dry. Add a squeeze of lemon if you prefer a citrusy scent, or again, a drop of essential oil.
