SALTY STUFF

Coarse salt adds effectiveness to many natural cleaning solutions and works well with vinegar to boost deodorising and cleaning. Salt, baking soda and dish soap make a good soap scrub for use on enamel, porcelain and appliances, and starch is the key ingredient for glass cleaning. Combine one tablespoon with four tablespoons rubbing alcohol, four tablespoons white vinegar and 16 fluid ounces warm water in a spray bottle. Mix thoroughly before spraying the glass or mirror surface and wiping clean with a microfibre cloth.
