Accused tried to make victim drink from toilet
Aman who tried to force a woman he sexually assaulted to drink water from a toilet is now behind bars.
Scott Green, 29, targeted four victims in a campaign of violence at locations in Dundee and Fife between 2013 and 2021.
Green strangled one of his victims and forced her to stand naked in a cupboard before assaulting her.
He also forced the same woman to pretend to be a dog and tried to force her to drink water from a toilet bowl.
On another occasion, Green struck a woman’s head against a door frame, before placing her life in danger by seizing her by the neck.
He repeatedly punched her and spat on her face.
He also targeted a man and subjected him to a terrifying attack which saw him punching him on the head and strangling him.
He also physically assaulted another man in another attack.
Green denied any wrongdoing but the Perth Prison inmate has been convicted of a total of 14 charges at the High Court in Edinburgh.
He was also found guilty after trial of breach of the peace, drug possession and breaching bail.
The court heard Green – originally from Gainsborough, Lincolnshire – targeted his first male victim at Townhill Loch in Dunfermline.
He repeatedly punched him on the head, threatened to kill him and strangled him, putting his life in danger.
Green subjected a woman at a location in Dundee to physical abuse in November 2015.
He struck her head against a door frame before grabbing her neck and causing her breathing to be restricted.
Green also threatened to kill the woman before spitting on her face.
Giving evidence about the attack, the woman, who is aged 34, told prosecutor Gavin Dewar: “I was punched. I was grabbed.
“I had a panic attack. I couldn’t breathe.
“There was blood coming from my throat and my nose.”
Green tried to get his other female target – who he met in Perth – to drink water from a toilet at a house in Dundee.
He forced her to stand naked in a cupboard before sexually assaulting her.
He denied assaulting her and said: “There was no violence whatsoever.” He said: “I have no idea why she would say I was forcing her to act like a dog.”
He said he had punched the woman on one occasion “in defence” when she started punching him in the shoulder, on which surgery had been performed.
“When she hit me she dislocated my shoulder. I was in a great deal of pain,” he said.
Green also kicked her pet dog. He insisted at the trial that he had never been near the dog.
The police became aware of his activities and launched an investigation.
He was arrested and remanded in custody.
Defence advocate Tony Lenehan KC told temporary judge Tom Hughes his client had previously served a prison sentence and said background reports would be necessary.
He said he would reserve any mitigation until after the report had been obtained.
Judge Hughes agreed to defer sentence and remanded Green in custody.
He said the nature of Green’s offending caused the court “great concern”.
The judge also paid tribute to Green’s victims.
He added: “They came to this court to give evidence in difficult circumstances.
“I hope they will take some comfort that they have given evidence and that they have been believed. Hopefully, they will be able to put this behind them.”
Green will be sentenced at the High Court in Glasgow on January 11 next year.
