Mum shouted racist comment at surgery

-

A Montrose woman has been fitted with an electronic tag after a racist outburst at a doctor.

Sarah Platt was sentenced at Forfar Sheriff Court after admitting acting in a threatening or abusive manner.

Platt created a commotion at the Annat Bank Practice at Links Health Centre, Montrose, at around 10am on September 8.

The mum of four shouted “f ****** useless P*** b ****** ” as she left.

The remark was not in earshot of the doctor who she had consulted but colleagues who heard it were concerned and called police.

Solicitor Nick Markowski said she is not welcome back at the practice.

Sheriff Krista Johnston told Platt: “You’re 41 years of age, you should know better than behave in this way.”

Unemployed Platt, of Glenisla Road, was placed on a 7pm to 7am restriction of liberty order for four months.
