SNP ‘agenda’ has never been ‘hidden’

Sir, – I have a question for Mr Grattan, who accuses the SNP of having a “hidden independence agenda”.

Given that it has been clear for weeks that if the Supreme Court blocked off a direct route to independence, the SNP and others would use the next general election as a plebiscite, then one can hardly say the agenda was hidden.

Mr Grattan may not like the agenda, but it is anything but hidden.

Indeed it will be the sole topic of a whole party conference in the New Year.

Happy to send him an Oxford Dictionary for Christmas to help him improve his vocabulary.
