Advent workshop will be held at 10.30am at Moncreiffe Church on December 4 and 18, and in Craigie Church on December 11. There will also be a family service at 6.30pm in Moncreiffe Church on Christmas Eve and a service at the normal time of 10.30am in Craigie Church on Christmas Day.

The RNLI Aberdour Branch is set to hold a Christmas event next Saturday from 2pm in and around St Fillans Church Hall on the High Street. The event is for all the family to attend and is organised by local businesses and St Fillans Church, with entertainm­ent, mulled wine, hot chocolate and mince pies on offer.

The AK Bell Library in Perth has been selected as one of the first in Scotland to host a “lend and mend hub” as part of a pilot project, funded by The John Lewis Partnershi­p’s £1m Circular Future Fund. The campaign will help the local community to repair, reuse, rent and upcycle everyday items, with free access for everyone to keep items in use for longer, rather than them being discarded.

Perth Theatre and Concert Hall has launched its January to June brochure, featuring a new series of classical stars. Theatrical performanc­es will include Mairi Campbell, the Byre Theatre and Perth Theatre co-production of The Man In The Submarine by St Andrews Playwritin­g Award-winner Laila Noble and National Theatre of Scotland’s Dear Billy, a love letter to the Big Yin.

The comedian Ross Noble has announced a 53-date UK tour, with a show in Dundee at the Whitehall Theatre on November 24 2023. The tour, titled Jibber Jabber Jamboree, will be Noble’s 21st solo stand-up tour.
