The Arbroath Art Society is to hold its annual exhibition from December 3-17, 10.30am until 4pm, in the Old Court House on Arbroath High Street.

Entry is free, with the event providing an opportunit­y to see a range of artwork, as well as craft work.

An art workshop, aimed at those aged over the age of 16 with profound and multiple learning difficulti­es, returns to Glenrothes Art Club next Saturday from 2-4pm.

The event will be held in the first floor studio above the foodbank at Caledonia House in the Saltire Centre and will be led by practising artist and teacher Dot Black and Judy, an experience­d additional support needs teacher.

During the three weekends on the leadup to Christmas, on the Saturday and Sunday of December 3 and 4, 10 and 11 and 17 and 18, visitors can make fake snow and fizzing snowmen and learn how to illuminate their Christmas lights with a potato at Dundee Science Centre.

Tickets for the Winter Wonders event are £10 per child and £4.50 for adults, with children aged two and under included free of charge.

Cupar Choral Society is holding its Christmas concert next Saturday in Cupar Old Parish Church at 7.30pm.

Tickets are £10 and can be purchased at the door, with all welcome to attend.

The final bingo session of the year for St Martin’s Church in Dundee will take place today at 1.30pm.

Coupar Angus and District Heritage Society will meet on Friday at 7.30pm in the Strathmore Hub. Gordan Croll will give an illustrate­d talk on The History of Coupar Angus Cricket Club and all are welcome to attend.
