Speed charge denied

Dundee United sporting director Tony Asghar has denied speeding and will stand trial next month.

Prosecutors claim the former police officer was caught driving at 45mph on the 30-limit A919 in Fife on February 2 2021.

Asghar, 53, from Bearsden, maintained his not guilty plea when the case called at Dundee’s Justice of the Peace court.
