Dumped plastic pollution is just not acceptable

-

Fred Munsch and Eddy Platt are under no illusion as to the scale of the rubbish and plastic problem in our environment. In two months walking from Dover to Dundee the pair have picked up more than a ton of rubbish – and plenty of it was found near at hand on the Fife leg of their journey.

The pair ended their journey outside V&A Dundee, which is hosting a major exhibition focusing on the history of the material and its impacts.

The duo are now hoping to put their experience to good use by educating schoolchildren about the long-term harm of a throwaway culture.

It is a vital message if Scotland is to keep its crown as one of the most beautiful – and pristine – countries in the world.

And it is one that needs to be front of mind every time someone is tempted to dump their rubbish in anything other than the bin provided.

Plastic pollution is a legacy no one should be leaving. that
